Cold swimming

I was up at the crack of dawn and in the pool for an hour before I had to get off to work. I don't usually work on a Saturday but I was covering for someone. I'll be needing it next week.
I then dashed down to trifarm for my lake swim for acclimatisation and a bit more distance. I've got my 2 hour qualifier in three weeks time. It's worrying me. Not because of the swimming for two hours but it has to be in skins...no wetsuit etc. The temperature has to be 15 degrees or less. Today it was 12.
Two hours in cold water is a different thing altogether. I've started acclimatising but two weeks in America might not help the process. I really must find some cold lakes for dipping.
Having a problem with someone who lives the other side of the river...started to move mobile homes in. I think I've a few letters to write! No permission whatsoever. In fact was given an eviction notice not too long ago. He thinks he can do what he likes. Let's hope the council and environmental agency actually do something about it. They are being put up on greenbelt and floodplain. I hope they act quickly.
