Bonnieux

This is a view of Bonnieux, one of the Perched Villages of the Luberon, in Provence. The house that will be our home for the next week, and in which we have stayed many times before, is right at the top, close to the church you can see in the picture.

This was blipped as we approached the village this afternoon and as we were about to make our way up to the top. This is not easy, as you can imagine, even for us who know it very well. It involves negotiating narrow, twisty roads, usually at the weekends clogged with vehicles. But at the top it is quiet and we have the most glorious views. It is also at the moment very sunny. Paradise! I think so - just about!
