Playing with Light
Determined to make an effort for Marcus' challenge to photograph light today - I'd thought of these flowers which grow all along the roadside and have an amazing structure - brought some home so we could play with torches (aka flashlights), but what I really loved was when Mike used a red candle... so have had to leave out the more sophisticated (read mono) versions.
Have put an extra of one in its natural habitat - they seem to be reddish when just emerged, but then totally white, with a dark red/black knobble in the middle. No-one on the way home seemed to know its name, but the internet helped - it's a daucus carota maximus - the ancestor of the carrot, apparently.
