The Beach in Discovery Bay

One of my favourite spots on earth. It was a rather beautiful day today, as this pic shows.

Had the pleasure of jamming with someone who wants to start playing guitar. She's not someone I know, but has heard that I play, and was REALLY keen. So we arranged a time and she came over. It was fun to watch her and see where I have been at one stage. I encouraged her as much as I could to persevere despite the dents in the fingers and the callouses that will develop. I do NOT have soft fingertips .... (on my left hand ;-))!!!

Then later in the evening, friends Pam and Minna took me out for my birthday. Very kind of them. We went to the newly opened Cali-Mex at the North Plaza. It was gooood!

We then mosied over to the Sports Bar for happy hour. A very pleasant evening with the girls, I am blessed with some awesome, caring friends.
