Police check

Today I travelled across town to collect my police check which a friend helped me organise last week. It was a 10 minute ride to the Metro, two trains and a short walk away. It only took a few minutes to collect, with almost no English and no Arabic understood! But it worked.

Apparently the form says I have a clean police record here. The photo makes my passport photo look good, and my scanned finger and thumb prints are included (in case no one recognises me, perhaps?).

Another step completed in the process to get my visa.

The photo was take near the Metro, in an area full of government offices. It's a rundown area, not sure if lower middle class or working class. I don't like those terms, but it's how it is here.
