helping dad

Today started off as a lazy day, we slept in ahmmm to 7.00 Girls were a bit tired from yesterdays concert so we skipped ballet today. They were more then happy to play around the house playing what is the time mr woof and the evil step mum who lives next door!! there were a few scquabbles with miss Bailee and Lara and me having to put them in to different corners. By lunch time kids were starting to climb the walls and go a bit crazy, we made Banana bread and bacon and cheese sandwiches for lunch. Ben came home from work and we decided to go for a drive so hopefully the girls might fall asleep. Two fell asleep almost straight away. Miss Maddie talked and talked and talked today it was about monkeys and how they evolved in to humans, a book she had seen at the doctors and was strangely taken by she was a bit shocked that she once was a monkey... or so her little brain thought!! we tried our best to explain to a 6yr the theory behind all this and after quite a lenghthy talk we thought she had the basic understanding, after quite a few moments she piped up from the back, so daddy are you still a bit of a monkey then?? cos you still have lots of hair on your face and body, the whole car was laughing !!! even bailee and miss Lara. well what do you say to that.

We went to a running track to blow off some energy the girls had fun racing each other taking turns winning, it was far to cold to be out for long so we jumped back in the car and headed home.

Ben is cooking veggies with Bailee, helping wash the carrots.
