Sunshine on fleece.

One of the last few ewes waiting to lamb. I was called in to help in the lambing shed whilst an injured farm worker was taken to A and E , a round trip of 60 miles plus waiting/being attended to time. For 2 hours it was only me on duty and thankfully no difficult births. One Blackie did die, but she was already poorly and breathed her last as I took over!  These ewes were looking decidedly fed up in the late afternoon sun but I did admire their newly acquired zebra stripes!
