Castles and shops.
The declaration of another general election was the last straw. I'm going to buy a castle and draw up the bridge. Luckily Knockhall, our local castle is on the market for a mere £150,000. It doesn't have a roof, but that's just a minor detail.
Meanwhile, an extra from the buy shipyard at Peterhead. In the background the Marliona, a trawler from Sligo in the Irish Republic, has been hoisted out of the water for a thorough overhaul.
In the foreground the M.V. Eynhallow is receiving a paint job in the 19th century dry dock that was built in the 1850's to service the Greenland whalers. The Eynhallow is a car and passenger ferry based in the Orkney Isles where she provides services to Rousay, Wyre and Egilsay. The bad news is that you have to reverse onto the ferry and the water up there can be somewhat terrifying. You can get a flavour of the experience in this short video clip.
