A slow beginning
It was good to get outside today, as the sun managed to put in an appearance and almost felt hot on the back of my head as I pottered about on Castle Hill. The local council has decided to spend some money upgrading the access paths which become pretty slippery at times. There were several workmen pottering about with mini diggers.
Spring is definitely on the way here but it always seems a very slow process, especially compared to family living further south.
Back home, Tom has bought us a stair gate to keep his boarding Labrador away from our very ancient and frail cat. Rob and I spent some time puzzling over the directions and then did a pretty good job of installing it, so Tango is now safe.
I hope Dennis will get used to her and we won't have to worry but until then he will have to stay on the other side. Apart from that he has settled in very quickly and become part of our 'pack'.
