Day Tripper

Cameraman and I have spent 12 hours today in Lerwick. A 36 hour trip in all. 12 hours each way on the boat from Aberdeen and 12 hours here to enjoy a beautiful sunny Shetland day. This picture was taken at about 07:00 as we sailed into Lerwick

I'm lucky enough to have visited Shetland many times over the years so such a short trip was a pleasure as I knew exactly what I wanted to do:

Walk round the Knab (did it twice)
Visit the museum
Visit a shop called Ninian
Have coffee in the Peerie Shop (and two other great places)
Managed a few other enjoyable things and clocked up over 25,000 steps.

Meanwhile Cameraman was at work.

Back on the boat tonight - hope its as calm and quiet as last night's sail. A long way for a day trip but very worthwhile
