A new stone circle

Late this afternoon Cathleen and I walked to the chambered cairn above Glendaruel.

The well signposted path , through the Stronafian forest which was bought by the community several years ago, is steep but carefully planned and there are a number of specially commissioned wooden artworks to be seen on the way.

This unusual modern take on a stone circle, with a wooden centre piece, lies near the beginning of the walk.   My extra photograph shows Cathleen at a little bridge further up which has its own distinctive statue.
