Knights in Fluorescent Jackets

The only picture I took today. I left North Wales at 9, having had to have my car jump started. It wouldn't start on Friday either and the very nice RAC man advised it was a faulty (not just flat) battery. With it being the long weekend I couldn't replace it so bought some jump leads which turned out to be very useful! A long charge as far as Corley , a quick pit stop and with fingers crossed, the car started. So all was going well until I got to this roundabout junction for the A14 and conked out. Within 2 minutes the police arrived and kept the hooting , cross motorists out of my lane. In the meantime I called the RAC who told me 2-3 hours. As soon as I mentioned the police I was top priority! The police called out a tow truck which then arrived but in order for me to be towed, I needed to reverse a bit. And guess what? The car started!!! So the police man drove it to a garage and I had my first ride in a police car following. Very exciting!
By which time the RAC man had fought his way through the traffic chaos I was causing... apologies to anyone else inconvenienced:-) He checked the battery and disabled the auto stop start, and I was on my way. I'm now home safely. Whether the bu88er starts tomorrow is another matter, but I will be calling for a new battery pronto. Big thanks to the boys in blue and the man in orange. A great couple of days away with an adventure on the way home. What's not to like??
