Church mouse

I have decided to wait for the butterflies to come to me. I saw none today.

I did see a mouse.

This was pointed out to us by a steward during a tour of the impressive 15th century church in Mottram in Longdendale. This local landmark can be seen for miles in every direction but it's a long time since we went to see it.

The church was open to the public today as part of the Heritage Open days and is open again tomorrow 10-4 and Sunday 12-4.

It's well worth a visit for the views of the surrounding countryside as well as the church itself.
