Good Hare Day
Needed this, a world away from the desk. Oh, and we adopted a dog today. For half an hour anyway - turns out she was the farm dog, and shouldn't have been out, and certainly not the 2 miles away that we found her. The Brown Hares were just superb. Crept as close as they would tolerate, and watched for a good while as they nibbled about, and occasionally looked like they might box (but never quite). Then one clearly forgot we were there, and lolloped ridiculously close (for a hare anyway). Patience pays dividends....
Signs of spring, with Gannets out to sea, nesting Fulmars, Wheatears, my first Swallows of the year, and almost stood on a lizard, which darted off down a wee hidey-hole before I could get the camera on it.
