Summer at last!

It's September, the St Giles' Fair is over for another year, and School Term has begun. Some count the beginning of September as marking the start of autumn. So now the sun is out every day, and it's warm without being sweltering. Summer, in fact.

We had better take advantage of the nice days. Here we are back on the Oxford Canal, having a pleasant stroll. This is bridge number number 226 (and lock number 42). Last time we had a bridge picture we were at number 201. I am NOT obsessed by the bridges and their numbers!

The railway is very close to the canal at this bridge, and runs nearly parallel to it. In this direction it is on its way to Birmingham, and has, in fact, just crossed the canal.

There are even trains on the line!
