A Queen and her Subjects?

The sunflowers as they are today, photographed from our bathroom window.

The top one does seem to be presiding over the row below, which doesn't seem quite prepared to be entirely orderly. Fidgeting in the ranks...

So have things developed since I first showed a sunflower this year, on 18 August.

They had some sun to look at this morning. I waited until the sun moved round far enough to shine on them to take the picture, but, of course, by then the sun had gone and it had turned into a quite dull afternoon.
