Sunday: Remembering Vimy Ridge

It's 100 years ago today since the Battle of Vimy Ridge, arguably Canada's most significant Bsttle in World War 1. I was over at North Shore this afternoon, giving a small speech and laying a wreath. Here are two of the city councillors posing by the cenotaph. This was followed by a small reception at the local legion.

I know I shouldn't complain, compared to the sacrifices that were made all those years ago, but it was pretty cold standing outside for some length of time.......
