More Spring Arrivals
It was a no brainer - jobs at home, or a wander up to my top patch on what may well be the last day of this glorious weather for a while. And there was plenty to see. This wheatear was one of the highlights. I saw my friend who runs the stables and asked her if any of the swallows had arrived yet. She said no, but by the time we got to the top of the hill, 2 birds had arrived. (see extras for one.)
There were curlews aplenty - they seem to have adopted quite a few territories in the farmland nearby, and lots of skylarks, claiming their territories.
