A new perspective

No this isn't really a teeny weeny boy sitting atop a rucksack, but it could be.

In the midst of unending Easter preparations, 6 of the scouts made use of my day off to go on an overnight hike.

One of the dads came along, which was good company too.
It wasn't a long, record breaking distance, but was more about the planning, preparing and managing to bring all they needed for a night's camping. The two 11 yr olds and four 13yr olds did a great job!

In the name of scientific research, the adults had freeze dried chicken tikka masala, followed by a similarly dessicated apricot crumble. Both were surprisingly tasty.
