Seafood

It has been a nice day.

There has been some gardening done - not a huge amount as I don't want to knacker my back at the beginning of my days off.

There has been some motorsport watching on the TV.

There has been some woodturning. I put my big bit of wood on the lathe and started to shape the underside. As usual, a big, unbalanced bit of wood is always a slight worry when you hit the 'ON' button. The wood is 'wet' and slightly rotten so I didn't do too much - I had to go and get some thin superglue to pour into the worst bits to make it solid and easier to turn.
What I did finish was a couple of small boxes. One is Zebrano with a solid base - the other has a Lignum Vitae lid and an opaque glass base.

The blip is of a limpet shell which has been used by barnacles and some kind of seaweed as an anchor -- and since I forgot to blip my dinner, this is as close as I got to the Blip Central idea of food photography today.

However, I did make a seafood dish tonight........

Spring onions, garlic and chili fried up in some oil - then white wine added along with fresh prawns and (in this case) salmon (sometimes I use mixed fish intended for fish pie from the fish counter).
Put on the tagliatelle and at the same time add mixed herbs and a carton of single cream to the fish and allow it to reduce.
The two parts should then be ready at the same time and ready to serve.
Delicious.
