Velvet

The  tulips on the patio are looking so perfect and such a gorgeous shade of purply red that I decided to photograph them again today.  I was going to blip a pinhole camera image but my camera got a bit of dust in it during the process and so I was aborted in my efforts.  My rather out of focus initial attempt is in Extras.  Meantime I am still trying to remove the piece of dust from the camera, argh!

Aside from photography, I have been pottering in the garden, planting some new lavenders to replace a few which died over the winter.  I've also pottered on the allotment and been for a walk along the old railway line.  I allowed myself to order some raspberry canes, a blueberry bush and new apple tree from our local tree nursery - I was only supposed to be getting raspberries!
