Food for the heron

The banded rails blipmate and I went looking for at Marahau didn't make an appearance but we got great enjoyment from watching a white faced heron fish for his breakfast. Very successfully I might add.
I have included some extras, partly because they were the best heron photos I have managed with wings spread and partly because we were so close to it.
I am tagging this Whats on my plate which is stretching it a bit as I won't be eating the heron or his fish but we will be having fish for tea.
