Sophie Enjoys An Ice Cream

We took Sophie to Apex Park at Burnham-on-Sea today. There's a big lake where the ducks are bullied by seagulls and fishermen (it seems to be an exclusively male pastime) bask in the sunshine while playing with their tackle(!)

There's also an exciting playground where we had fun on slides and in tunnels and sandpits and Sophie was very brave coming down the big slide by herself. We had our first picnic of the year and decided it was definitely an ice cream day, being hot enough for Summer.

We're having a sleepover weekend as Kate and Joel are going to a friend's wedding tomorrow.
