Class 94

Class 94 lunch, although 6 of us this time. The numbers ever dwindle, and the sad news today was that J has been diagnosed with lung cancer. I emailed him when I got home, and received a quick response. The news is not good. Chemo or die within 6 months and even with chemo the doctor wouldn't commit to a prognosis beyond a year. He will start the chemo in two weeks.

I had managed to deal with all the necessary admin in the morning, including a final showing of the Battle of the Skies before the final adjustments, so did not return to work but went home to tidy up some garden pots.
