A Trip Out

I thought the colourful window decoration in Bags' kitchen would most likely be the only worthwhile picture subject today.
However, we took the monsters to their favourite bridge for a bit of beachcombing to add to the items for their scavenger hunt. They aren't interested in the road bridges in the slightest.
There seemed to be more wave movement in the seaweed on the rocks than there was in the water.

The Cygnet saw this and asked if it was to keep the sea in.
I explained that it probably wasn't sea defences, but more like an anchoring point.
That was when he said he thought it was a giant plug to stop the sea from disappearing.
How SWMBO and I laughed.

Strange he seemed to think it was perfectly normal for there to be a load of balloons on the beach.

There was a mobile art gallery on the front which apparently has been in existence for 40 years.
There were exhibits by four 'Contemporary Artists' inside - not my thing really but the staff seemed quite keen on having pictures taken so .............

After that it was over the road for a drink and an Empire Biscuit - for Squirrel and I. The Cygnet chose a huge slice of apple pie which he polished off in double quick time (so much for me thinking I would get the half he couldn't manage).

On PD's afternoon walk it was a mossy brancha fly on a catkin and a feather that caught my eye.
