Tiny Tuesday : : Kitchenalia

It is actually a very large bowl which we bought from a very dignified Egyptian man named Ash who imports beautiful handmade pottery from Egypt and sells it in his shop on the square in Sonoma. I love the craftsmanship and the detail in these pieces. I put a picture of the whole bowl in the extras. It has a lovely shape.

I've spent a frustrating day trying to decipher a knitting pattern which seems to have been written by about three different people in different languages...at the end of the pattern is a section in which, under the title abbreviations and techniques., one is directed to a website which at first glance is all in Japanese! The techniques come in the form of  You Tube videos. The pattern has abbreviations which are not mentioned on the website.

Having knit the first five rows and removed them numerous times today, I've decided to put it all away and hope for better luck at a later date. In the meantime all creative urges seem to have fled....
