Boating on the broads

We've had another super day today. Holidays (or long weekends) are the best! We drove over to Wroxham this morning and hired a little boat. The sun was shining and we were all set with our life jackets. Mr J took the wheel and we were off. The children thought it was fantastic. It was so beautiful watching the world float by. We saw lots of swans, ducks and even a heron. We all had a go at driving. P was very gentle with the steering and we had to keep telling "more, turn more!" A however was very heavy handed and we kept telling "less, stop turning!" We only had one incident with the river bank and that was when Mr J was at the wheel!

After a leisurely morning on the boat we went back to the campsite. After a cuppa and game of hide and seek we donned our swimwear. The pool was really nice with a 'beach' area and a jacuzzi. It was nice for us all to be swimming together and we had a great time with Mr J pretending to be a pirate stealing our treasure from the island. The children loved it when they got caught and were thrown into the sea.

This evening we were back to the onsite entertainment. The kiddies were much braver this evening and joined in a lot more. As it was the last night I had a glass of wine and was feeling much braver too! At the end there was opportunity for photos and P loved getting up close to the big pink bunny called Sparkle.
