The Prison Notebooks

I always (well after my undergrad years) liked the writings and life of Antonio Gramsci Imprisoned by Mussolini - they had been socialist militants together - where he died after writing his famous 'Prison Notebooks'.

So many roads in Tuscany named after old Marxists and Socialist and Communist politicians. Even lefty singer-song writers - Via Fabbrizio di Andre I saw yesterday.

One house we like has the address, 'The Red Field, Karl Marx Street, Ortignano Raggiolo.

Up early for a day of washing and cleaning, drawing breath and sorting out all my house photos and details.

The cherry tree in the garden is in marvelous bloom.
