The Scotsman - Flying.
A bit of a protracted day. We do, from time to time, go Steamer chasing. Not, usually quite as long a session, even if we hurtle along and catch it elsewhere.
BUT
Today one of us had a commission which entailed shooting the Scotsman in front of a particular house, both "coming" and "going".
The other two of us took off to the oft used site - Ribblehead viaduct. We, only just, manage one of the last parking spots within a mile or so's walking distance. We did it crafty-like ... took "The Wagon" so we were able to make a Brew (or three) and lie in comfort waiting the time, measurable in hours.
Got well bogged down on the soft verge and had slight struggle to extricate us, with the help of 2 more watchers and a caravan levelling ramp.
Thence to Aisgill while there were many untaken spots; as a result, perhaps, of us not being able to go home for the few hours between train travelling N. and returning S.
I've been having problems with the camera refusing to listen to what the lens(s) say(s). So, having one lens actually listening I daren't risk swapping them.
Result - I could NOT get the entire train by any means. I therefore settled for the engine.
