First web

The sun may belie it but there is certainly something of Autumn about the mornings this week, a chill in the air, a heavier dew on the ground and a certain something in the light.

This, my first (of probably many) spiders web photos of the year, seems to push that seasonal change slowly into my consciousness. There is, personally speaking, much to recommend Autumn to the photographer so however much the everyday working side of me wishes we had actually had a summer, the photographic part of me is full of excitement for the coming season.
