"Come with me"

Went north to Snells this morning. Mid afternoon I went to Southend of Snells beach. Slightly too early for the waders, so I spent time around the point on our beach before going back. I was then fortunate enough to see a tuturiwhatu (New Zealand Dotterel), as well as oystercatchers, herons poaka (Pied Stilt).

Early on I saw this adult Taranui (Caspian Tern) being hassled by its juvenile for food. After ignoring the demands for a few minutes it flew away, and I caught the take off.
