The other end of the beck

Another grim grey wet day in Cumbria today.
Ive often blipped the matching footbridge to this that sits just outside our drive - well today with hood up and head down i paused for a moments shelter under these trees and took this.
We call it a beck - but really the waterway that runs past our house is man made - in this shot you can just make out the actual Church Beck heading left - our beck is a fork made over a century ago to give Orton Hall a nice water feature (hence the lovely little footbridges) and also carry water to the Hall's cottage gardens.
