as he stared me down

while i waited patiently for him to - come out into the sunlight from the shadows - it took a bit but finally - there he was, giving me the 'ole evil eye - if birds can do such a thing - it was the funniest thing ever - and it took a fair amount of self control for me - not to break into a fit of giggles - while i was standing with camera in hand - because surely that would've startled him - and off he'd have flown - instead i was duly quiet, remaining passive - allowing him to think he was in control - (of course i'm assuming this is a 'he' - i've no idea if i'm right or not 'cuz i am not smart in the way of birds)

either way, it was nice to capture a birdie - as the temps evened out - before another storm is due in tomorrow - hopefully we will get some much needed precipitation - to ward off our drought conditions - combined that would make it, for all of us...
