WE DECIDE TO GO FOR A SWIM
Mischa and I. Walk to the busstation, take bus and arrive at Kijkduin minutes later. Slowly we reach the sand at the other side of the boulevard, the beach is wide and Mischa leans a bit on me. In the soft sand we walk near the surf, it is more windy then we thought leaving home and descend in the water. The waves too are higher than we thought. We know the salt water heals and we stand in it our bellies wet. But we decide not to take a ducking but instead let the sun warm us up.
There are many gulls standing in the surf waiting for their food at the lower tide.
A peculiar sight and we decide to go again near the surf so that I can try to take some photos of the birds watching all intently the water.
The flying gull is the blip though and not the gathering of the many.
My haiku:
Side by side they stand
One flies up, another too
We watch in silence
And the russian proverb:
Confide a secret to a dumb man/woman, and he/she will speak.
