Mr and Mrs Pintail

Two of the new additions to the pond.
It seems to be getting established again  after last years " make-over". (see extra photo)
Hope these two have some young ones.

Called to see Tom and pay my debts.
Found him this time sat in one of the greenhouses.
I asked how he was and he said "Fine".
Asked about the tomatoes, and the large greenhouse needs repaairing, but they will be going in as usual.
He had some purple sprouting broccoli for sale, so picked up two hand fulls.  I asked him how much and after a pause said " 5p".
I gave him 50p and had all on not to accept any change.
As I left his final words were " I'm not giving up yet"!
