At the Railway Station

I only came across the Peebles Mural today.   It depicts different eras of the town's life over the centuries.

This panel shows a group of well-known people waiting for the train at one of the Railway Stations - that's right, Peebles actually had TWO Stations.

In the picture you can see John Buchan, author and diplomat, his sister, author Anna Buchan, MP and mill owner, Sir Walter Thorburn, and several others.   Not forgetting, of course, the Black Douglas (John Buchan's dog) on the extreme right.   And Boo, the cat of Pennel's Close, on the left.
