On A Mountain,Stands a Lady, Who she is
Sunday was Liverpool.
I've never been much entranced by Liverpool, excepting for the Liverbirds. I thought Nerys Hughes was the epitome of class, coping with life in a very unsettling place, and having to deal with some very unsavory people.
Anyways, we got a lovely train ride from Hooten into Birkenhead and then the bonus of an upstairs bus journey into the centre of Liverpool.
I LOVED IT. I didn't think I would, but I did. It was beautiful and sparkly , and immense buildings, and beautiful architecture. Sadly, we did't have ALL day to stay there, or I would have done ALL of the galleries, and all of the Museums, as it was, we did a lovely Scouse Tour... heard all the stories, and saw all the buildings.
Then we walked around the Albert Docks, and relived Richard and Judy (The Early Days).... Had coffee, and wandered to the docks, where I serenaded Him with "Ferry Across the Mersey" as the said ferry left the pier. It had to be done.
We looked at the Beatles.... I have NEVER been a fan... But the statues were quite nice. We seen the Cavern, Paddy's Pyramid, the Beautiful Cathedral, the Central Art Gallery, the Exhibitions centres. It was a very beautiful place.
I have changed my mind about LIverpool, excepting the Beatles.
Then we had reverse trip home, had a quick wash, and headed to the Pub for His treat. Watching an England Match in an English Pub. I, on the other hand, People Watched. Oh my god, there were some brilliant Sights.
Oh - And extra. A dog in a dress. Yes!!! A Dog in a dress. It arrived in a side car.
