Relief Print

Produced on the printing press that I blipped yesterday.
This is a relief print made by cutting into a layered card block and printing from the inked block onto paper. In this case plain white paper, although I also used the same block to print onto paper coloured by printing a translucent coloured ink from a plain card block, and over a monoprint that I made yesterday to give an image beneath the one from the new block.
The image is of the standing stones at Stenness on West Mainland Orkney, which I drew onto the block from a photograph before cutting and texturing the block.
