Marsden Lock
This is Marsden Lock, on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, close to Standedge Tunnel.
From this blip you can see why it's called the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and why the boats are called Narrow boats.
This canal was built as a 'narrow' canal to save money - and did operate for over 100 years but, being limited to boats with a maximum width of 7ft, it lost out to its rival the Rochdale Canal.
