Love Tulips

Had a lovely Mothers Day, daughter cooked dinner for us. Seeing middle son tomorrow, and being treated to lunch next Sunday by youngest and his wife :-) Only thing missing was my mum :-/

Today has been another pleasantly warm sunny day, which saw us in town as I needed a few things for dinner this evening. We had lunch and a coffee in Reds before carrying back our purchases, which turned out to be more than we thought, and quiet heavy too!

Once home, a quick change and on with more tasks in the garden. Hub tackled the back lawn, which was very long, and reseeded a patch that is no longer shaded by the rose I dug up the other day :-) whilst I set about treating/painting the decking, post jetwash! Three hours later it was all done, back breaking, but done! Hub joined me for the actual deck, its the spindles and handrails that take the time!!! Hub quickly painted the little bridge over our pond too.

One of our planters on the decking had a big crack in it....so its been tranferred to a new pot, the matching one, needs swapping over now, cant have mismatched pots ;-)

I quickly grabbed my camera to find a flower blip for today, liked this rather hazy shot of one of the tulips almost ready to burst open :-)

Just off to make a thai Laksa curry, with salmon and prawns with noodles for dinner, not made this before so will report back tomorrow ;-))
