Stork Flying Away
It was a beautiful day and so when G asked if I wanted to go for a wander, I was more than happy to get out of the house.
And boy, did we wander. Not just our usual tour through vineyards and almost-ready-to-blossom-orchards, but a good way further out into the countryside.
And it was great to be out. We saw butterflies (who didn't settle for blipping), our first black kite, and a hunting kestrel. And I was very happy to be out wearing just a t-shirt (naturally shoes and trousers too). What I found very odd were the number of people still wrapped up in scarves and winter jackets.
We ended up some 3 hours later in Schierstein - you should have seen the queue* for the ice cream store. A minimum wait of 30 minutes I reckon. And bizarrely, there were lots of those people in winter jackets and scarves queuing for ice cream.
I had music in my head all day and that's a good and a weird thing. For example my internal DJ sees no problem segueing from this to this.
* queuing is not a German talent, but this was definitely a line of people waiting their turn.
