Marie and I went for a drive this afternoon, our first stop was to look for a poofter pad ( inflatable sleeping mattress ) and we ended up buying two camp stretchers, sure beats sleeping on the ground on a thin blow up bedroll. I am taking 9 days leave at the end of the week which will incorporate Easter, giving me about 15 days off work. Accommodation is so expensive even tent sites are grossly over priced, but we can stay up to 5 nights at a tent site for the price of 2 nights in a little cabin. We drove out through Temuka ended up in Geraldine and come home through Waitohi. Up hill down dale, over gravel roads, they were roads we had not traveled before. At a spot we stopped at this old Austin was rusting away in a Cockies shed.
