Getting away from it all

We had to go to town today.  It was really busy, hard to find a parking spot or a quiet place, but this young person found the ideal spot to perch and listen to music.   I couldn't get a good angle from the front so had to settle for this.
On the way  home, we decided to have a walk down Burgoyne Bay.  The sun was shining, and it actually felt like spring is on the way.  The wind is still chilly but it was so good to feel some warmth in the sun.
Big news from Krista last night.  She and her boyfriend are moving in together!  They're excited to be getting their own place.  Can't wait to visit them when we go over for Kalyn's club volleyball provincials later in April.  Big news from Kalyn the other night too.  She made the cut for the U18 provincial volleyball team,  and she's U17.  Fifteen players were chosen and the final cut to 12 for the travelling team will be made later in the spring.  Even if she doesn't make the travelling team, she'll still train with them.   Great experience.  It would be awesome if she had a chance to represent BC at the Canada Summer Games and in a tournament in Florida.
