A Nice Day

..... and I was inside for nearly all of it at a not so successful (sales wise) craft fair.
However, the drive to Linlithgow was nice (apart from the lunatics who insisted on driving down the middle of the road - 4x4's who can't possibly get their tyres dirty and the little old wimmin in their Micra's who can't possibly see over their dashboards).
It may be spring but the trees are still devoid of leaves and there is still snow on the hills.

I arrived a wee bit early so had the opportunity to go and try to get a slightly different view of St Michael's.
While I was doing that, I came across a statue and although there is no indication of who it is, I am pretty sure it is John Hope, 1st Marquess of Linlithgow (why do they not tell you this sort of thing?).
The gates on the Burgh Hall have a photograph in them - but I am not sure this is it.

On the way home I noticed a mug tree at the side of the road.
No idea why it has been started and even less why it is where it is - other than more likely to survive longer being in such a stupid spot!.
