ANOTHER 'DAY EARLY' SURPRISE!

Last night our older son, Martyn, sent a text asking if we would like to meet for coffee this morning. As we usually go for coffee anyway on a Saturday, this fitted in well with our plans.  We were delighted when not only our son came but also Dawn, our daughter-in-law, so we had a lovely time catching up with them and hearing about their recent holiday. 

The selfie I took wasn't that good - I definitely need to work on them as I never know quite where to look - so this one is courtesy of Mr HCB - on the ‘day before’ Mothering Sunday. I might add that his finger "stuck" on the shutter button and there were 57 shots in the "burst"!! I wonder if that's a record? 

Apologies for the lack of commenting in the last couple of days, but it has been rather a hectic time - thank you for all your kind wishes on the 50th anniversary of our engagement, celebrated yesterday, but it's actually today and 50 years ago, it was also on a Saturday.  Where did those 50 years go?  Martyn asked if we had decided what we were going to do next year but as Mr. HCB said "There's plenty of time!"  If he’s true to form and I don’t think he will be changing after all these years, he will be making a decision a few days before the big event!
