View from Scafell Pike

What a glorious day! Wall to wall sunshine and real warmth too, even on the mountains. There was plenty of snow on the way to the summit, and lots of people out and about enjoying it. I went up to my knees in a drift at one point. This view is northwards to Skiddaw (left) and Blencathra (right) on the horizon. Extreme left of photo is Grasmoor. Great Gable stands in the foreground (left) above Styhead Tarn. The southern end of Derwent Water is just visible.
