Snowy Scafell Pike

This is Scafell Pike, England's highest mountain, at 6pm this evening, taken from my verandah as the sun was sinking. Google Earth says that the distance "as the crow flies" is 14.92 miles so, although the image is indistinct, I think my small Panasonic Lumix has done pretty well. The mountain in front and below is Kirk Fell. It looks attached to Scafell, but there is a deep valley between them, and also another smaller fell (Lingmell). With high pressure upon us at last, I hope to climb Scafell Pike tomorrow.
