Devastation...

Have had a busy but nice day today.
My friend Wendy and I went on a House and Garden tour around 10 homes here in the city.We do this each year together and love to see what other peoples homes are like! Some are super flash and amazing, others have the best gardens(we are both keen gardeners), and some are very quirky. Today's quirky home had a very purple kitchen!
We finished off by going up to the Sign of the Kiwi cafe , up on the Port Hills. It has just re-opened after the devastating fire earlier this month. The road up there was closed for weeks so it was the first time I had been up there since the fires, and to be able to see exactly how bad the damage is was quite scary.
You can  still smell the fire.
