Canalside robin

This afternoon I went for a walk along the canal. There were lots of birds about including a pair of swans building a nest and a pair of mistle thrushes. 

The weather was a bit grey and miserable but birds provided me with photos. This robin posed beautifully and the extra is of a female blackbird digging in the mud and leaves on the canal bank.
