Diary of an Edinburgher

A wet walk

Archie slept like a log last night - he hardly moved. So the tum tum is back to normal.

JR had an urgent desire to pop into town, having spotted on her iPad an item which needed closer inspection. In fact, on closer inspection, she couldn't put it back. It's very nice. Ideal for an evening on a cruise ship, say...

Archie and I set off to the Links in sunshine, but by the time we got there, there was gentle mizzle coming down. Not very pleasant. But Archie didn't care.

We met Mo and Molly there, and the two dogs had a great run around while Mo and I had a chat. Mo needed a hug - she was having a bad day, having had a parking ticket (while unloading stuff for her restaurant) and a fine yesterday for forgetting to renew her parking permit. I think it helped her to get it all off her chest, but those two fines will be very painful.

We got soaked on the way back, but after a big slice of carrot cake and a cuppa with a damp Archie wrapped up on my lap, we had soon recovered. I watched a few episodes of VEEP on NOW TV. It's quite amusing once you tune in to their rapid fire dialogue.

Also enjoying 'The Affair' - we kind of gave up on it at the end of Season 1, but Season 2 is much better.

Archie sat patiently amongst the daffodils while I fiddled with the 'portrait' setting on the iPhone, which uses a narrow DoF.

EDIT: Watching reports of the Westminster terror attack. What is our world coming to?
